Thai Trip: Krabi Day 2

Hi readers who is searching for Krabi wherever you are, I comeback for my next story in Krabi. Yes memang agak lama ya jeda postingan aku dari “Krabi Day 1” dan Day 2 nya hehehe. Maklum sibuk. Sibuk nonton drama korea hahahaha.

Yes it is Maya Bay/James Bond Island.

My lunch

image

Tiger Cave

image

Selesai snorkeling maka selesai pula aktifitas kami hopping island.

Semacam kangen makan indomie hahaha. Just so you know ya, indomie disana gak enak.

See youuuu!

Thai Trip: Krabi Day 1

Heyho pembaca setia blog aku! Setia? Emang kamu yakin kalau kamu itu setia? Cuma baca blog aku aja? Nggak mampir ke yg lain? Eh apa sih? Udah ah hahaha.

Happiness start here, di McD.

Parapapapap.. Sampailah kami di McD. Lah kok McD? Krabi maksudnyaaa hahaha.

Pokoknya asin sih. Selesai makan, kami bertiga melihat kios kecil berpayung di seberang rumah makan. Kios ice cream. Kebayang nggak sih di Krabi, panas, hari senin, baru sampai dari penerbangan, liat kios ice cream. Beuh! Refreshing banget kaaan. Aku beli apple ice sorbet. Rasanya seger banget diantara panasnya Krabi siang itu. Oh ya, sebelum beli boleh loh cicipin rasa-rasa ice creamnya.

image

image
image
image

See ya!

Thai Trip: Khaosan Immjai Hostel

Hello Readers, welcome back!

Oke kembali lagi mengenai Khaosan Immjai.

Thai Trip: Bangkok Day 2

Hello people! I finally come back from the long term of blogging. Felt so lazy and no time for blogging :p

So today I will continuing my previous post about Thai Trip: Bangkok Day 1. Yep this will be a long story because I stayed for 5 days. So, one day for one post. Hahahaha too lazy to write on laptop and upload the pictures too.

On day 2, our plans was only to shopping till drop. Well it’s ladies’ job hahaha. First destination and also our main destination that was Chatuchak Market. Who doesn’t know Chatuchak Market? Chatuchak Market is like traditional market which has sell anything you need; like fashion, foods and beverages, meats, house ware, souvenir and many more. They only open on the weekend. So if you a shopaholic and when you stay in Bangkok on the weekend, don’t forget to shopping at this market. You will too much in shopping. One thing you should know that mostly kiosk at Chatuchak Market has cheap price. That’s why I say you will too much in shopping because the cheap price. Too bad that my notes on my phone was gone because software upgrade. So I missed how much I purchased of what I bought.

We were done for shopping until noon because we’re tired after shopping. Too much shopping :D Then we go back to hostel to took a break. On the afternoon we were continuing our destination to Phra Tu Nam. The story of backpacker start again. It took several hours just for waiting a bus to Phra Tu Nam. We had asking some people around the shelter bus, but they don’t know how to got there and also they couldn’t speak English. Perfect. After several hours (perhaps 2 hours) finally some people could tell us how to get there and which bus that we should take.

Arrived at Phra Tu Nam district. Phra Tu Nam is a shopping center district in Bangkok. This district were so crowded. It was like Tanah Abang and ITC in Jakarta. There were so many street food. What we did after we arrived at Phra Tu Nam after took some pictures? Took a super late lunch and early dinner. We had no choice, lunch at McD. So hungry! The taste was better in Indonesia than in Thailand :D

After our lunch was done, we look around this shopping center and I bought a piece of Thailand ethnic fabric at Platinum Fashion Mall. Don’t forget to make a bargain with the seller hehehe.

We were done looking around this shopping center in the evening and make a confuse plan to go back to hostel. On our way (still in this district) to go back to hostel, we found Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia. Yay! We can asking question here to getting know how to get to Khao San Road (our hostel district). Actually, we were not planning to asking question to staff in there. But when we were act so confuse and talked in Bahasa, a man was talking to us “Kenapa?” (Why). Omg he can speak Bahasa! Happy! Hahahaha. They helped us to get our way to hostel.

Then we take a walk with that man. On our way, he tell us there is a shopping center too. Siam. Not too far from this district. Just take a short way, through the alley way and then we will got there. In the evening, three ladies take the alley way, and less light. Bismillah it’s safe. But not safe from dog. During our way to Siam, we found several dogs. We’re all afraid with dogs. Pffft.. and yaaaay finally we arrived at Siam. It was looks like shopping center in Central Jakarta; Grand Indonesia - Plaza Indonesia. It was crowded on Saturday night. Our look was not good anymore after walking around on today. This shopping center district is a high level. It’s different from Phra Tu Nam which has a medium and down level. But don’t be sad. We saw that Tuk-tuk can drop-off people at the lobby of Siam Paragon mall. What the? Yes it’s not a main lobby but this is a high level mall you know. Cool hahahaha. Ah there is one thing you should know again. There were so many street medium-down level bazaar/kiosk (you named it) in front of the high level mall. Even in Indonesia its not allowed. Amazing! Of course I bought some clothes for my family hehehe.

We go back to hostel with taxi, because we were totally tired after walking around this shopping center. Yep this was our last day in Bangkok. Tomorrow we flight to Krabi.

Thank you for reading my story. See you on the next post!

Thai Trip: Bangkok Day 1

In October 2014, my friends and I took a trip to Thailand! I know it’s almost been a year and I just post the story today. That was a happiness trip with my friends in back packer life style there. Back packer life style. That was a yeah hahaha. So many random and funny stories that we’ve got during live in Thai.

Before went to Thai, we had to prepare all things that we will need and do. First is airlines ticket. We had book the ticket so long before departure date. Let say 6 months before departure date. That was very well prepared huh? We planned to trip to Bangkok and Krabi. So, we booked the ticket seperately. Here are the ticket details:

- Jakarta (CGK) to Bangkok (DMK) : IDR 883,000 (excluded airport tax IDR 150,000)

- Bangkok (DMK) to Krabi (KBV) : IDR 647,000 (included airport tax and 20kg baggage)

- Phuket (HKT) to Jakarta (CGK) : IDR 1,534,000 (included airport tax and 20kg baggage)

We booked flight from Phuket because the flight from Krabi was expensive for us. So we decided took a flight from Phuket. Another reason was we could check-in on Path at Phuket hahahaha. What a stupid reason :p

As a back packer, we have to choose a hostel in Bangkok and Krabi as comfort as possible. We had search some recommended hostels in Bangkok and Krabi on tripadvisor.com, booking.com, hostelworld.com and airbnb.com. We also had find the affordable price and comfy hostels to stay and sleep well. Those hostel webs were only be our references to choose, not to book them. We book the hostels via their official hostel web. We choose hostels in dormitory room/bunk bed style. Here are the hostel prices for one person:

- Bangkok, Sam Sen Alley Road

Khaosan Immjai : THB 740 = IDR 281,940 (1 bed, 2 nights, included breakfast)

Free facilities      : Hair dryer, liquid soap, wifi, internet, mini library

- Krabi, Soi Ao Nang Road

Glur Hostel         : THB 630 = IDR 240,030 (1 bed, 2 nights, included breakfast)

Free facilities      : Wifi, tv, games, microwave, refrigerator, swim pool, towel, liquid soap, shampoo.

Well, that was the flights and hostels before fly to Thai. You can count it all that things for your reference trip to Thai. After I tell you those things, it’s time to tell you the back packer story in Bangkok. Here is the story begin..

We arrived in Don Mueang Bangkok at 10.45 am. Then been gone to exit lobby to queue a taxi meter. First sight saw a street in Bangkok: that was like a street in East Jakarta. Queue for few minutes and guess what. We’ve got a shocking pink taxi! Bangkok has so many colorful taxis. Got a shocking pink taxi and got a really nice and funny driver. His name is Suroj. During the way he always talk funny in his Thai language and English. Yeah he always makes some fun. It took many times because the driver didin’t know the location of Khaosan Immjai and he was stop driving to call the hostel to got to know where is it exactly. Taxi fee from airport to hostel was THB 360 = IDR 137,160 (included tip and highway fee).

Tuk-tuk

We arrived at hostel at 12 pm.We put our travel bag at luggage room and had find nearby restaurant to lunch because we couldn’t check-in yet before 1 pm. Had lunch at Aloha Restaurant. This restaurant is located near the hostel alley. This restaurant was not really special. The foods just kind of homey food. But the owner was so friendly and kind to us. That was make the restaurant so special. I forgot with the name of food that we ate, but the yummiest food was a-food-kind-of-kwaytiow. I spent THB 114 (IDR 43.434).

After had lunch we went back to hostel and took a rest for few minutes. Too bad. I felt sick and felt like didn’t have energy to do activities. But I must take some tour in Bangkok. We headed to Grand Palace area by walking on the street from hostel to destination hahaha. What a trip! Super cool! I love walking. Eventhough my body was not well on that moment. Too bad I didn’t really feel the journey of walk. But I can still put a smile on the shot hehehe. So, we arrived at a wide park. Named Sanam Luang Park. We took a sit for few minutes. I felt so tired. I felt like want to puke, but I couldn’t. After sit a few minutes, we continue our self-tour. We found a temple. A temple which has many of visitors. Named Wat Pho. The entrance ticket was THB 100 = IDR 38,100. The temple avoid a bottle of mineral water for free. At Wat Pho, we can see budhist activity in the evening.

After take a tour at Wat Pho, we continue our self-tour and planned to Grand Palace. We had going arround Grand Palace but couldn’t find the gate entrance. We forgot about Grand Palace and just took a picture from the gate. Then we go somewhere and planned to take boat to Asiatic. We arrived at a park and from the park we can see Wat Arun. Then we headed to harbour to take a boat. But so bad. The people there was not friendly. They had not give the details information and answer. Even when I was asking to a man about which boat should I take to go to Asiatic, he didn’t see my face and just pointing his finger to the boat. Urghhh! We might be go back to hostel. That was still around 8 pm, but at that area was almost silent like 11 pm. We had been waiting for the bus, but we didn’t know which number that will go to Khao San Road. Finally we ask to a woman with body language (because she can’t speak english) and she told us we have took No.511 to go to Khao San. She was very kind because after we ask her, she told the driver that we will go to Khao San. Thanks Madam! Bus fee was THB 6.5 = IDR 2476.5.

We arrived at Khao San Road and took a walk to hostel and we found a halal street food stall. But I didn’t eat anything at that food stall because I couldn’t eat something food. I felt queasy. I just tasted the soup. That was very delicious. After had dinner at halal street food stall, we found a unique dessert stall at the same area. That is bread with kaya sauce. I think that was the best kaya sauce. I love it. The process was unique. A slice of pandan bread cutted to be dices and put into an empty hot pot then cover up to steam them. After steam them, the bread putted onto plastic and pour the kaya sauce. I looove the taste. It was amount THB 20 = IDR 7,620 for one portion.

The best kaya sauce in the world

That’s my entire story at Bangkok on day 1. See you on next story Bangkok Day 2!
